The OTEX system was launched in light of new evidence suggesting that critical laundry health guidelines recommending high temperature washes to achieve thermal disinfection are often ignored. Even when high temperatures are used, scientific tests have shown that they often do not kill all superbugs/spores.
OTEX works microscopically to destroy Clostridium difficile and other superbugs. Its main cleansing agent is ozone, injected into the wash process removing harmful pollutants and allergens that are beyond the reach of dusters and vacuum cleaners. The system uses mostly cold water and can operate even on low wash cycles, meaning it makes huge energy savings. This in turn contributes to a reduced carbon footprint, preserving the environment and our planet.
Proven Technology
OTEX can not only kill bugs on all wash cycles, but can actually prove that it has done so. The system is available with a sophisticated validation unit which monitors the amount of ozone being injected into the wash process and provides a printed ‘receipt’ confirming the cycle has achieved disinfection. This guarantees complete peace of mind in all environments where infection control is critical.

- Air is converted to 90 per cent oxygen
- An electrical charge splits oxygen molecules
